I am fascinated by Instagram, the way users document their worlds. Instagram has allowed people to explore their creativity and share their unique view of the world. I get inspired by the compositions and the use of filters to enhance images and create mood. The paintings above were inspired by the Instagram posts of a friend whose family have shared a visual journey of their time in the US. I loved the dramatic skies and the unfamiliar feel of the landscapes.
